Summer Lovin'

What's more wonderful than a wedding? A summer wedding of course! This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending my beautiful cousin's wedding in Pasadena. Here's a preview of my outfit:
Jack by BB Dakota

It was definitely a hectic day.  I flew down the morning of the wedding and rushed off to the hotel after grabbing the rental car.  To make things a little easier, I did most of my makeup before leaving the house that morning.  I also did my hairstyle halfway (I teased my hair and pulled it into a ponytail with a bump) to speed up the "getting ready" process once at the hotel.  Here's my complete hairdo:

I wish I could have spent more time on it to make it a little neater but I literally had 5 minutes to throw everything together AND document it in pictures for you guys.

Notice the bump in the profile shot...

All doll'd up and ready to go!

Here's another front/sideish angle. Note to self: must show hubby how to take good outfit shots. I always seem to be missing half of my outfit. At least you can see my shoes in the first photo!

And in case anyone is interested, here are the details of my outfit:
Dress- Jack by BB Dakota (found here)
Shoes- gold Nine West open toe (old)
Bag- Chanel Rue Cambon WOC
Belt- Beige skinny belt from H&M
Bracelet- handmade with gold and peach beads (kinda hard to see in the first picture)
Makeup- I used the Tarte Aqualilies palette for my eye makeup, Hervana blush, Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Luster in Pouty, and Fairydrops Scandal Queen mascara.

Oh and here's a closeup of my nails.  The color is 08 Peach & Cream by Essence Nude Glam (found at Ulta). And the gold glitter is Oscar by Julep.

The flight back was the following afternoon. Sadly, this was a short trip.  But before flying back I just HAD to try Portos since everyone and their mommas keeps raving about it. I think I ordered everything that was popular (Cheese Rolls, Guava Cheese Rolls, Potato Balls, Meat Pies, even a tamale). It was all oh so heavenly. Now I can't wait to go back and get more! I finally understand why so many people come back to the bay area with boxes and boxes of Portos goodies. yummm.
Hope you enjoyed the recap. Until next time! <3

    1. Glad to know i'm not the only one with husband photography issues! And thanks! The nails were pretty easy. I just kept adding thin coats of the glitter polish, gradually starting closer and closer to the tip (if that makes sense)
